（Animal ecology/ Plant ecology/Microbial ecology/ Restoration ecology/ Animal behavior and evolution）The Ecology discipline at Hainan Normal University was approved in 1999 as one of the first eight provincial-level key supported disciplines in Hainan Province. It was consecutively rated as a provincial-level key discipline in 2004 and 2010, and approved as a provincial-level characteristic key discipline in 2016.
