How to Apply
Enrollment Procedure
1. Log in and Register: Log into the application website http://study.hainnu.edu.cn/ and register for an application account.
2. Complete Online Application: Fill in the online application form and upload the required documents.
3. Submit Application: Submit your completed online application.
4. Application Review: The application will be reviewed within 1-14 working days.
5. Receive Admission Notice: Applicants who pass the review will receive an admission notice or a provisional admission notice from the Admissions Office.
6. Pay Fees: Students who are required to pay fees will receive a fee notice along with the admission notice. Please remit the required fees to the designated school bank account according to the instructions on the fee notice.
7. Await Visa Documents: After receiving the remittance, the university will process the JW202 or DQ form for the student, which usually takes about 10 working days.
8. Apply for Visa: Students should apply for a visa at the local Chinese embassy or consulate with the admission notice, JW202 or DQ form, and other required documents. Please consult the local Chinese embassy or consulate for specific requirements.
9. Enrollment: Please report for enrollment with your admission notice, original passport, JW202 form or DQ form and 8 passport-sized photos. Self-supporting students need to pay the comprehensive medical insurance fee upon enrollment.
Application Materials
1. Color scan of the passport’s information page.
2. Original scanned copies of the highest degree certificate and transcript. If not in Chinese or English, a Chinese or English translation is required. Applicants for degree programs must additionally provide notarized copies and translations of the original degree certificate and transcript.
3. Certificate of Chinese Proficiency(HSK). This is not required for applicants to the Chinese Language Program. Applicants for degree-granting programs must provide this certificate according to the specific requirements. The certificate should be valid within two years.
4. CSCA transcripts. All the undergraduate applicants are required to provide it as required by the major.
5. Letters of Recommendation. This is not required for applicants to the Chinese Language Program. Applicants for degree-granting programs must provide these letters according to the specific requirements.
6. Study Plan. This is not required for applicants to the Chinese Language Program. Applicants for scholarships should provide a study plan according to the specific requirements.
7. Certificate of Health. Please download the “Foreigner Physical Examination Form” from the following website: https://gjwh.hainnu.edu.cn/index.php/Edownload/index.html, and have a physical examination conducted at a local regular hospital. The form should be completed in English or Chinese.
8. Certificate of No Criminal Record. If not in English or Chinese, an English or Chinese translation is required.
9. Proof of Financial Support. A bank statement showing a minimum balance of 30,000 RMB or equivalent foreign currency is required.
10. Letter of Authorization for Minors. Applicants under the age of 18 must submit a letter of authorization signed by their guardian in China.
